THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

     In this next scripture, we at VAL-TE’ will display what it is meant by “Playing the cards you’re dealt.” And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said “The Lord rebuke you!” But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.      DOMAIN – For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes, and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard). 2 Peter 2: 4-8 NIV

     1 Timothy 3: 5-6 – For if a man does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of the church of God? He must be mature in the faith so that he will not swell up with pride and be condemned, as the Devil was. He should be a man who is respected by the people outside the church, so that he will not be disgraced and fall into the Devil’s trap. GNT

Significance

     Role in Creation – We at VAL-TE’ believe being created lower than the angels, probably refers to what happened between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, expresses what the earth (physical) were reduced to. The LORD created the heavens – He is the one who is God! He formed and made the earth – He made it firm and lasting. He did not make it a desolate waste, but a place for people to live. Isaiah 45: 18 GNT Therefore, God’s separating light (the righteous) from darkness (the unrighteous) Genesis 1: 18 GNT, is the hand being dealt to us (as our role) being assigned to all creation. We also believe leads to our outlook at being two sides to everything, understanding the role of each entity as the parameters God placed into each and everyone of our lives. Whereas, we all can learn from the lesson that God taught Jonah by trying to not play the cards he were dealt, everything that happens in this world happens at the time God chooses.
