INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe uses the image of refining, which is usually associated with when people endure hard times and continue to serve God, to show that God’s goal is transformation, not destruction. Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you believed, as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Immanuel. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.      FIRE – In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith – of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire – may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Immanuel is revealed.      James 1: 2-8 – My friends, consider yourselves fortunate when all kinds of trials come your way, for you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. Make sure that your endurance carries you all the way without failing, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. But when you pray, you must believe and not doubt at all. Whoever doubts is like a wave in the sea that is driven and blown about by the wind. Significance

     Spiritual Transformation (God’s process of Transformation) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe is often seen as a purifying force, burning away impurities and negative energies. Signifying the need for cleansing, and letting go of emotional baggage or toxic influences. Revealing areas such as our character, integrity, discipline, self control, time management, etc. – that need change. The more that one lives for God and develops a state of being, where you are not overly attached to desires, outcomes, material things, or self concepts. Which is a state of being where you interact with life, without trying to control or fixate on things. The more spiritually light and refined, one naturally becomes.
