SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL

THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe refers to when God turns someone over to their enemies, often to be spiritually dead or destroyed: This was done to judge the people of God for their wrongdoings. Then Immanuel entered and passed through Jericho. Now behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. And he sought to see who Immanuel was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Immanuel came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. But when they saw it, they all complained, saying, “He has gone to be a guest with a man who is a sinner.” Then Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor; and if I have taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I restore fourfold.” And Immanuel said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19: 1-10 NKJV

Biblical Word

THE LOST – As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Immanuel even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Immanuel and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Immanuel, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Immanuel. Ephesians 2: 1-7 NIV

Reference

Romans 6: 15-19 – What, then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law but under God’s grace? By no means! Surely you know that when you surrender yourselves as slaves to obey someone, you are in fact the slaves of the master you obey – either of sin, which results in death, or of obedience, which results in being put right with God. But thanks be to God! For though at one time you were slaves to sin, you have obeyed with all your heart the truths found in the teaching you received. You were set free from sin and became the slaves of righteousness. (I use everyday language because of the weakness of your natural selves.) At one time you surrendered yourselves entirely as slaves to impurity and wickedness for wicked purposes. In the same way you must now surrender yourselves entirely as slaves of righteousness for holy purposes. GNT

Significance

Forsaken (Experiencing Temporary Suffering) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe is clear that when God forsakes, He hides His face from the one He forsakes, turns him over to his enemies, to feel a strong emotion, such as anger toward him. God’s faithfulness is unfailing, and His love for us guarantees that He turn our bad into good. If we feel abandoned by God, its never true. God is always by our side to comfort, guide, and instruct us. When others walk out, He has your back. In those times when we feel abandoned by others – particular God – we must depend on faith not feelings.
