INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe emphasizes that it’s not the amount of faith, but its quality and were one’s trust lies – in God, not personal abilities. And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” Then Immanuel answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” And Immanuel rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Immanuel privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Immanuel said to them, “Because of your; unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. Matthew 17: 14-21 NKJV

Biblical Word

A MUSTARD SEED – …As Immanuel was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Immanuel asked. When they all denied it, Peter said “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.” But Immanuel said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.” Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.” Luke 8: 42-48 NIV

Reference

Matthew 14: 25-31 – Between three and six o’clock in the morning Immanuel came to the disciples, walking on the water. When they saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost!” they said, and screamed with fear. Immanuel spoke to them at once. “Courage!” he said. “It is I. Don’t be afraid!” Then Peter spoke up. “Lord, if it is really you, order me to come out on the water to you.” “Come!” answered Immanuel. So Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water to Immanuel. But when he noticed the strong wind, he was afraid and stated to sink down in the water. “Save me, Lord!” he cried. At once Immanuel reached out and grabbed hold of him and said, “What little faith you have! Why did you doubt?” GNT

Significance

A Leap of Faith (Stepping Out of Comfort Zone) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe it’s not about how much faith you feel you have, but rather in whom you place that faith. When you put your faith in God, even a little bit, it can have a big impact because He is the source of all power and strength. It’s like having your belief in someone or something so strong that it never wavers or weakens, no matter what happens. You’re confident in their advice and support, and you wouldn’t second-guess their judgment, even when they’re making decisions you don’t quite comprehend or are leading you down an unfamiliar path. You believe they know what’s best, they have a plan, and they will ultimately take care of you.
