SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe suggests that by choosing to show mercy, we are not only being kind to others, but also aligning ourselves with a more compassionate and forgiving approach to life. But Immanuel went to the Mount of Olives. Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Immanuel stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Immanuel was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Immanuel had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Immanuel said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” John 8: 1-11 NKJV
Biblical Word
ADULTERY – “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your won eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7: 1-5 NIV
Reference
James 2: 12-13 – Speak and act as people who will be judged by the law that sets us free. For God will not show mercy when he judges the person who has not been merciful; but mercy triumphs over judgment. GNT
Significance
Spiritual Unfaithfulness (Is compared to adultery, which is seen as a serious betrayal of trust and loyalty) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe generally means a lack of loyalty, devotion, or trustworthiness, particularly in one’s relationship with God or in human relationships like marriage. It signifies a breach of trust, a failure to uphold promises, and a turning away from one’s obligations or commitments. Emphasizing God’s willingness to forgive and restore those who genuinely repent and return to Him. It’s about turning back, accepting responsibility, and working to rebuild that relationship and commitment. The idea that extending grace and understanding is a more positive and effective approach than strict, unforgiving to the act of criticizing, condemning, or punishing someone for their actions. The role is not to judge and condemn, but to extend showing kindness, compassion, or forgiveness, especially to someone who has done wrong, as God does.
