Inspired By GOD

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is that the idea of home-training also could mean teaching children the good life, what a life of respect for others, hard work, and compassion is about. See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did now escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire. Hebrews 12: 25-29 NKJV

Biblical Word

REVERENCE – Here is a trustworthy saying:  If anyone sets his heart on being an overseer, he desires a noble task. Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness , not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him with proper respect. 1Timothy 3: 1-5 NIV

Ecclesiastes 12: 11-13 – The sayings of the wise are like the sharp sticks that shepherds use to guide sheep, and collected proverbs are as lasting as firmly driven nails. They have been given by God, the one Shepherd of us all. My child, there is something else to watch out for. There is no end to the writing of books, and too much study will wear you out. After all this, there is only one thing to say: Have reverence for God, and obey his commands, because this is all that we were created for. God is going to judge everything we do, whether good or bad, even things done in secret. GNT

Moral & Religious Teachings (Proverbs) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe much of it has to do with practical, everyday concerns. It begins with the reminder that “To have knowledge, you must first have reverence for the LORD,” and then goes on to deal with matters not only of religious morality, but also of common sense and good manners. Some of these concern family relations, others, business dealings. Some deal with matters of etiquette in social relationships, and others with the need of self-control. Much is said about such qualities as humility, patience, respect for the poor, and loyalty to friends.
