INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe the message is that we all have done something wrong, and have experienced the consequences for those wrongs. And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.” Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” Genesis 3: 13-19 NKJV

Biblical Word

THE FALL – The first man was of the dust of the earth, the second man from heaven. As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the man from heaven, so also are those who are of heaven. And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15: 47-49 NIV

Reference

2 Corinthians 5: 6-10 – So we are always full of courage. We know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord’s home. For our life is a manner of faith, not of sight. We are full of courage and would much prefer to leave our home in the body and be at home with the Lord. More than anything else, however, we want to please him, whether in our home here or there. For all of us must appear before Immanuel, to be judged by him. We will each receive what we deserve, according to everything we have done, good or bad, in our bodily life. GNT

Significance

Demonization (to characterize as bad or as worthy of blame) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe just like Adam and Eve’s wrongdoings weren’t the end of their stories, our wrongdoings aren’t the end of our stories either. We can be forgiven by the people in our lives and by God. Always remember the time when God forgave your wrongdoings, and changed your life.
