SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL

THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

I truly believe, if one would ask a child in contrast with an elderly person, to look up in the sky and identify its appearance is open to interpretation. Although, seeing from another person’s perspective helps you to understand things in a different light, and opens up the path for a whole lot more of understanding and tolerance, inspired this next scripture. So it was, when they came, that he looked at Eliab and said, “Surely the LORD’S anointed is before Him!” But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16: 6-7 NKJV

Biblical Word

THOUGHTS – For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young – let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance – for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise. Proverbs 1: 2-6 NIV

Reference

1 Kings 8: 39-40 – hear their prayer. Listen to them in your home in heaven, forgive them, and help them. You alone know the thoughts of the human heart. Deal with each person as he deserves, so that your people may obey you all the time they live in the land which you gave to our ancestors. GNT

Significance

Perspective – Growing up in my family, it were always measured by placing yourself in someone else’s shoes, before offering a opinion on anything. I were taught  that no one knows what God is doing in that person’s life and to be thankful God is giving you a front row seat, instead of going through the experience yourself. I honestly believe what others meant to be bad and/or detrimental in each of our lives, God turns into good no matter how it may appear and for the good of all.
