INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is often described as an inner conflict between one’s actions, and their understanding of what is morally right according to their belief. Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? I thank God – through Immanuel our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Romans 7: 13-25 NKJV

Biblical Word

     THE SERPENT – You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. 1 John 4: 4-6 NIV

     Jeremiah 17: 7-10 – “But I will bless the person who puts his trust in me. He is like a tree growing near a stream and sending out roots to the water. It is not afraid when hot weather comes, because its leaves stay green; it has no worries when there is no rain; it keeps on bearing fruit. Who can understand the human heart? There is nothing else so deceitful; it is too sick to be healed. I, the LORD, search the minds and test the hearts of people. Significance

     A false spirit (The law of sin) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe refers to a spiritual force of influence that promotes deception and lies, often used in the context of religious teachings to describe the actions of false prophets or individuals who deliberately spread misinformation, contradicting the true Spirit of God. Which means that despite trying to resist, a person eventually gives in to something alluring or enticing that might be considered wrong or harmful, essentially losing his or her willpower to oppose it. An idea or spirit that is not from God, and can be used to mislead people:  An impulse to commit an action considered morally wrong.
