THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is acknowledging that no one except for Immanuel (God is with us), can cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Then Immanuel was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your food against a stone.’” Immanuel said to him, “it is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’” Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” Then Immanuel said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. Matthew 4: 1-11 NKJV

Biblical Word

     DECLARE – “So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. Acts 26: 19-20 NIV

Reference

     Matthew 3: 5-8 – People came to him from Jerusalem, from the whole province of Judea, and from all over the country near the Jordan River. They confessed their sins, and he baptized them in the Jordan. When John saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to him to be baptized, he said to them. “You snakes – who told you that you could escape from the punishment God is about to send? Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins…” GNT

Significance

     One That Takes Responsibility (To do more, take action, and be proactive) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe means to do those things that prove you have turned to God, and have changed the way you think and act. If willing to do so, be baptized as a public symbol of their faith in God, and the new direction in their life. Prove by the way you live your life, and that you always have good intentions: God judges the intent of the heart, not the outward actions.
