SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL

THE HIDDEN MEANING

Sonya Massey – Woman fatally shot in the face over pot of water – ABC News

INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is a teacher who could control anything, yet cared for each individual and demonstrated His love through His actions. Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1: 26-31 NKJV

Biblical Word

AUTHORITY – The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, and he began by saying to them, “Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4: 17-21 NIV

Reference

Mark 11: 27-33 – They arrive once again in Jerusalem. As Immanuel was walking in the Temple, the chief priests, the teachers of the Law, and the elders came to him and asked him, “What right do you have to do these things? Who gave you such right?” Immanuel answered them, “I will ask you just one question, and if you give me an answer, I will tell you what right I have to do these things. Tell me, where did John’s right to baptize come from: was it from God or from human beings?” They started to argue among themselves: “What shall we say? If we answer, ‘From God,’ he will say, ‘Why, then, did you not believe John?’ But if we say, ‘From human beings…’” (They were afraid of the people, because everyone was convinced that John had been a prophet.) So their answer to Immanuel was, “We don’t know.” Immanuel said to them, “Neither will I tell you, then, by what right I do these things.” GNT

Significance

Delegated by God (People are to rule as God would) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe God designates certain people to represent Him and to exercise His authority, one that protects the defenseless and give justice to the oppressed. Recognizing that everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God, and being grateful and generous with those gifts. God establishes a person to be His delegated authority entirely on the basis of the knowledge of the cause of everything that exists, and what we say must come from that which we have experienced through Him.
