THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is someone who is patient, kind, and not envious, boastful or proud; one who honors others and not seek selfish gain. For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Immanuel, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Immanuel. As you therefore have received Immanuel the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Immanuel. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2: 1-10 NKJV

Biblical Word

     MATURE – It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Immanuel may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Immanuel. Ephesians 4: 11-13 NIV

     1 Corinthians 2: 6-8 – Yet I do proclaim a message of wisdom to those who are spiritually mature. But it is not the wisdom that belongs to this world or to the powers that rule this world – powers that are losing their power. The wisdom I proclaim is God’s secret wisdom, which is hidden from human beings, but which he had already; chosen for our glory even before the world was made. None of the rulers of this world knew this wisdom. If they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. GNT

Significance

     A Thankful Attitude (A conscious habit of expressing appreciation for all aspects of life, both big and small) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe means demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit wherever we go, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We can grow in spiritual maturity by preserving in following God’s plan through the trials and challenges of our lives, and living a life that is Spirit filled – that is, learning to be aware of and listen to your conscience, who lives within all of us.
