INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe means we are safe from a sudden, painful loss of success, status, or power to tumbling heavily from a high place – because God is holding onto us, even when things around us feel unstable. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Then Nebuchadnezzar went near the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and spoke, saying, “Shadrach, Meshach, and AbedNego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here.” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and AbedNego came from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, administrators, governors, and the king’s counselors gathered together, and they saw these men on whose bodies the fire had no power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments affected, and the smell of fire was not on them. Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and AbedNego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except TRUST own God!” “Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and AbedNego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.” Daniel 3: 24 – 29 NKJV

Biblical Word

TRUST IN GOD – “But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend, I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said ‘You are my servant’; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” “All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41: 8 – 13 NIV

Reference

Psalms 23 – The LORD is my shepherd; I have everything I need. He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water. He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised. Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me. You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honored guest and fill my cup to the brim. I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live. GNT

Significance

God’s Got Me (Being held or caught by someone strong, loving, and completely capable) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe means we deeply trust that God is protecting us, watching over us, and taking care of us no matter what happens. It is a simple reminder to let go of fear and rest easy, knowing we are supported by something greater than ourselves. We feel safe because a higher power is in control, and we stop stressing over problems or the future. We also believe someone loving is always with us during difficult times or times of loneliness, and just like a child trusts a good parent, we trust that our needs and safety are handled.
