SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe feels like a real injury, but it happens inside us when someone is unkind, we lose something we love, or expectations are broken. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who is the man who desires life, And loves many days, that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. The face of LORD is against those who do evil, To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all. He guards all his bones; Not one of them is broken. Evil shall slay the wicked, And those who hate the righteous shall be condemned. The LORD redeems the soul of His servants, And none of those who trust in Him shall be condemned. Psalm 34 NKJV
Biblical Word
A BROKEN HEART – Praise the LORD. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise him! The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the exiles of Israel. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. The LORD sustains the humble but casts the wicked to the ground. Psalm 147: 1-6 NIV
Reference
Isaiah 61: 1-3 – The Sovereign LORD has filled me with his Spirit. He has chosen me and sent me, To bring good news to the poor, To heal the broken-hearted, To announce release to captives, And freedom to those in prison. He has sent me to proclaim, That the time has come, When the LORD will save his people, And defeat their enemies. He has sent me to comfort all who mourn, To give to those who mourn in Zion, Joy and gladness instead of grief, A song of praise instead of sorrow. They will be like trees, That the LORD himself has planted. They will all do what is right, And God will be praised for what he has done. GNT
Significance
Emotional Hurt (is the mind and heart’s reaction to pain, sadness, or rejection) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe it happens when a sudden rush of stress hormones from a big shock or great sadness temporarily hurts the heart. When you experience heartbreak—whether from a romantic breakup, a divorce, or the loss of a close friend—you are not just losing a person. You are grieving the loss of companionship, shared routines, and your future plans. Because the person is often still physically present in the world but no longer in your life, can make processing the grief uniquely complicated. It happens when someone’s unkind words, actions, rejection, or a major loss makes you feel unvalued, unsafe, or mistreated.
