SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is a period of chaos, confusion, or uncontrollable emotions that disrupts your normal life and forces you to confront difficult situations. Immediately Immanuel made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray. Now when evening came, He was alone there. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. Now in the fourth watch of the night Immanuel went to them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Immanuel spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Immanuel. But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” And immediately Immanuel stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.” Matthew 14: 22-33 NKJV
Biblical Word
THE STORM – One day Immanuel said to his disciples, “Let’s go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples. In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water and they obey him.” Luke 8: 22-25 NIV

Isaiah 43: 1-7 – Israel, the LORD who created you says, “Do not be afraid – I will save you. I have called you by name – you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burned; the hard trials that come will not hurt you. For I am the LORD your God, the holy God of Israel, who saves you. I will give up Egypt to set you free; I will give up Ethiopia and Seba. I will give up whole nations to save your life, because you are precious to me and because I love you and give you honor. GNT
Significance
Weathering the Storm (Managing our emotions and finding a sense of calm and peace within the chaos) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe can symbolize a powerful cleansing process. It washes away what is no longer needed in your life – false beliefs, unhealthy habits, or unstable relationships – making way for a fresh start and a clearer perspective. Storms often arrive without warning and force you to re-evaluate your path and make necessary changes. They push you out of your comfort zone and propel you toward your destiny or a new direction in life that you might have otherwise resisted. Facing a storm is a call to lean on your faith or a higher power for guidance and support, rather than relying solely on your own understanding or control. Challenges are not meant to destroy you, but to refine, teach, and prepare you for a stronger, more purposeful future. The goal is to endure the temporary chaos and emerge with greater clarity, faith and resilience.
