INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe symbolizes authority, a sacred binding agreement, and the very great and precious gifts He promised, representing as a chosen one entrusted with God’s plans and purposes. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra – what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Immanuel will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Immanuel. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3: 1-17 NKJV

Biblical Word

THE WORD – For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Immanuel. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Immanuel. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 2 Corinthians 1: 20-22 NIV

Reference

Haggai 2: 20-23 – On that same day, the twenty-fourth of the month, the LORD gave Haggai a second message for Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah: “I am about to shake heaven and earth and overthrow kingdoms and end their power. I will overturn chariots and their drivers; the horses will die, and their riders will kill one another. On that day I will take you, Zerubbabel my servant, and I will appoint you to rule in my name. You are the one I have chosen.” The LORD Almighty has spoken. GNT

Significance

God’s Promise (Or guarantee) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe renews our minds and brings us peace. When we reflect on His promises and the good plans He has for us, it literally revives our spirit and fills us with hope and expectation. Also strengthens us to keep going, not give up, and not give in to the opposition. God makes absolutely clear of His character and nature, mankind’s character and nature, and how man can restore a broken relationship with God through God’s Son, Immanuel. This Word provides a warning for disobedience and promises reward for obedience, with the greatest reward being God Himself.
