THE HIDDEN MEANING
INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is the ability to tolerate or endure the challenging circumstances without getting frustrated, angry, or giving up. And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Immanuel may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Immanuel also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 1 Peter 3: 13-20 NKJV

LONGSUFFERING – You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you toward repentance? Romans 2: 1-4 NIV

2 Peter 3: 14-18 – And so, my friends, as you wait for that Day, do your best to be pure and faultless in God’s sight and to be at peace with him. Look on our Lord’s patience as the opportunity he is giving you to be saved, just as our dear friend Paul wrote to you, using the wisdom that God gave him. This is what he says in all his letters when he writes on the subject. There are some difficult things in his letters which ignorant and unstable people explain falsely, as they do with other passages of the Scriptures. So they bring on their own destruction. But you, my friends, already know this. Be on your guard, then, so that you will not be led away by the errors of lawless people and fall from your safe position. But continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Immanuel. To him be the glory, now and forever! Amen. GNT
Significance
Patient People (The gift of being able to endure in spite of the circumstances that have come against you) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe patient people are willing to wait for the things they desire, and they understand that good things come to those who are able to remain calm and not become annoyed when waiting for a long time or when dealing with problems or difficult people. Because God continues to show us patience when we are doing disappointing things, we can show others patience when they disappoint us.
