THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is used as a metaphor to describe a person’s way of life, including their belief, actions, desires, and attitudes. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Immanuel will give you light.” See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Immanuel, submitting to one another in the fear of God. Ephesians 5: 8-21 NKJV

Biblical Word

     WALK – Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Immanuel, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10: 19-25 NIV

     1 John 1: 5-7 – Now the message that we have heard from his Son and announce is this: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in him. If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions. But if we live in the light – just as he is in the light – then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Immanuel, his Son, purifies us from every sin. GNT

Significance

     Spiritual Conduct (The act of doing good deeds, living righteously, and honoring God) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe refers to the standard of personal behavior that is based on moral principles. This means treating others as you would like to be treated, even when they treat you badly. Doing good things, the opposite of an immoral act that goes against what God wants and actions that come from what we believe is right and just. Living each day with God as your guide, and with His wisdom and perspective. God is ultimately in control of all things, and we will not always understand the circumstances we face.
