SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe means your actions reflect your beliefs, and that your beliefs are based on your core values – such as integrity, honesty, respect, and reliability. Then the LORD said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” He said, “I do not know, Am I my brother’s keeper?” And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you till the ground, it shall no longer yield its strength to you. A fugitive and a vagabond you shall be on the earth.” And Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is greater than I can bear! Surely You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; I shall be hidden from Your face; I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond on the earth, and it will happen that anyone who finds me will kill me.” And the LORD set a mark on Cain, lest anyone finding him should kill him. Genesis 4: 9-15 NKJV
THE MARK – Then the LORD called to the man clothed in linen who had the writing kit at his side and said to him, “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.” As I listened, he said to the others, “Follow him through the city and kill, without showing pity or compassion. Slaughter old men, young men and maidens, women and children, but do not touch anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple. Ezekiel 9: 4-6 NIV
2 Corinthians 1: 21-22 – It is God himself who makes us, together with you, sure of our life in union with Immanuel; it is God himself who has set us apart, who has placed his mark of ownership upon us, and who has given us the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the guarantee of all that he has in store for us. GNT
True Character (The way someone thinks, feels and behaves) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe is the path laid out for experiencing our lives free of unnecessary suffering, with strength and resilience to experience the pain and fear that must be walked through as a part of life. If you want to know a person’s true character, observe how they treat those in need, especially when they receive nothing in return. People’s willingness to engage in a social behavior that benefits other people or society as a whole, such as helping, sharing, donating, co-operating, and volunteering can provide insights into their moral compass, empathy, and compassion.
