SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe having a free will does not mean that we can do whatever we want without suffering the consequences, because even though we have a free will, we are still responsible for the choices that we make. All things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify. Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well being. Eat whatever is sold in the meat market, asking no questions for conscience’ sake; for “the earth s the LORD’S, and all its fullness.” If any of those who do not believe invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no question for conscience’ sake. But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” do not eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for conscience’ sake; for “the earth is the LORD’S, and all its fullness.” “Conscience,” I say, not your own, but that of the other. For why is my liberty judged by another man’s conscience? But if I partake with thanks, why am I evil spoken of for the food over which I give thanks? Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense, either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God, just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. 1 Corinthians 10: 23-33 NKJV
Biblical Word
FREE WILL – And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many bothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he justified, he also glorified. Romans 8: 28-30 NIV
Reference
Ephesians 1: 11-14 – All things are done according to God’s plan and decision; and God chose us to be his own people in union with Immanuel because of his own purpose, based on what he had decided from the very beginning. Let us, then, who were the first to hope in Immanuel, praise God’s glory! And you also became God’s people when you heard the true message, the Good News that brought you salvation. You believed in Immanuel, and God put his stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised. The Spirit is the guarantee that we shall receive what God has promised his people, and this assures us that God will give complete freedom to those who are his. Let us praise his glory! GNT
Significance
The Human Spirit (A judgment of reason by which we determine whether an action is right or wrong) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe helps us hear the voice of God; it helps us recognize the truth about God, and the truth about how we ought to live. God has placed His standards of right and wrong in the mind of every person. He’s done this to lead us into the best life possible.
