THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

     In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is not defined in terms of who we are in and of ourselves. It’s defined in terms of what God does to us and, the relationship He creates with us and the destiny He appoints us. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Immanuel. Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling And a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2: 1-10 NKJV

Biblical Word

     CHOSEN – For you are a people holy t o the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession. The LORD did not set his affection on you and chosen you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your forefathers that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the power of Pharoah king of Egypt. Know therefore that the LORD your God is God, he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commands. Deuteronomy 7: 6-9 NIV

     2 Corinthians 3: 16-18 – But it can be removed, as the scripture says about Moses: His veil was removed when he turned to the Lord.” Now, “the Lord in this passage is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom. All of us, then, reflect the glory of the Lord with uncovered faces; and that same glory coming from the Lord, who is the Spirit, transforms us into his likeness in an ever greater degree of glory. Significance

     Special Identifier (God made us who we are, so we could make known who He is) –We at VAL-TE’ also believe our true identity represents the spiritual self of our physical body. Our consciousness or our soul knows not of the Spirit, our spirit or our true self knows of the consciousness. We have a Spirit that is housed in a physical body. Chosen to this high destiny was not on account of extraordinary merits, but  because God wanted to illustrate His love to all mankind through us.
