SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe refers to the kind of inexperience that allows you to be tricked, but it can also refer to a trusting innocence or a lack of sophistication. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3: 6-13 NKJV
NAKED – A simple man believes anything, but a prudent man gives thought to his steps. A wise man fears the LORD and shuns evil, but a fool is hotheaded and reckless. A quick tempered man does foolish things, and a crafty man is hated. The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. Proverbs 14: 15-18 NIV
Romans 14: 10-12 – You then, who eat only vegetables – why do you pass judgment on others? And you who eat anything – why do you despise other believers? All of us will stand before God to be judged by him. For the scripture says, “As surely as I am the living God, says the Lord, everyone will kneel before me, and everyone will confess that I am God.” Every one of us, then, will have to give an account to God. GNT
Naïve (Tends to Fall for Anything, and Can Easily Be Deceived) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe is a lack of good judgment that can have bad consequences, such as unwise decision-making and ill-considered choices.
