THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

    In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe refers to no longer have any connection with someone that you used to be closely connected, cut off with no ability to understand, communicate or resolve things. With Him they also crucified two robbers, one on His right and the other on His left. So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And He was numbered with the transgressors.” And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, “Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days, save Yourself, and come down from the cross!” Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. Let Immanuel, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Even those who were crucified with Him reviled Him. Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Immanuel cried out with a loud voice, saying< “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Some of those who stood by, when they heard that said, “Look, He is calling for Elijah!” Then someone ran and filled a sponge full of sour wine, put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink, saying, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come take Him down.” And Immanuel cried out with a loud voice, and breathed His last. Mark 15: 27-37 NKJV

Biblical Word

     FORSAKEN – I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it.” Genesis 28: 15-16 NIV

     Joshua 1: 5-9 – Joshua, no one will be able to defeat you as long as you live. I will be with you as I was with Moses, I will always be with you; I will never abandon you. Be determined and confident, for you will be the leader of these people as they occupy this land which I promised their ancestors. Just be determined, be confident; and make sure that you obey the whole Law that my servant Moses gave you. Do not neglect any part of it and you will succeed wherever you go. Be sure that the book of the Law is always read in your worship. Study it day and night, and make sure that you obey everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the LORD your God, am with you wherever you go.” GNT

Significance

     Disowned (to leave in a troubled state, back out) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe God wants us to be filled with hope and trust, not fear. He has given us hope through the promise that He can uphold us by His strength today. And He has also promised those who have faith in Immanuel from wrongdoing and its consequences, which include spiritual death and separation from God. Each person in our community has their own unique set of reasons for cutting contact or experiencing rejection from a family unit.
