SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe refers to someone or something hardwired to do a particular thing, they automatically do it and cannot change that behavior. But the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh; and he did not heed them, just as the LORD had spoken to Moses. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Rise early in the morning and stand before Pharaoh, and say to him. ‘Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me, for at this time I will send all My plagues to your very heart, and on your servants and on your people, that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth. Now if I had stretched out My hand and stuck you and your people with pestilence, then you would have been cut off from the earth. But indeed for this purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth. Exodus 9: 13-16 NKJV
HARDENED HEART – “Let us pass through your country. We will stay on the main road; we will not turn aside to the right or to the left. Sell us food to eat and water to drink for their price in silver. Only let us pass through on foot – as the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir, and the Moabites, who live in Ar, did for us – until we cross the Jordan into the land the LORD our God is giving us.” But Sihon king of Heshbon refused to let us pass through. For the LORD your God made his spirit stubborn and his heart obstinate in order to give him into your hands, as he has now done. Deuteronomy 2: 27-30 NIV
Romans 9: 16-18 – So then, everything depends, not on what we humans want or do, but only on God’s mercy. For the scripture says to the king of Egypt, “I made you king in order to use you to show my power and to spread my fame over the whole world.” So then, God has mercy on anyone he wishes, and he makes stubborn anyone he wishes. Hard-Wired (A Hardened Heart is a Spiritual Condition) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it. God has made us what we are, and in our union with Immanuel He has created us for a life of good deeds, which He has already prepared for us to do. Even our belief in God does not originate in ourselves, this too is a gift.
