Inspired By GOD

Bible Illustrations of the 1960’s

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe define human rules and traditions which have been simply memorized, that are passed down from one generation to another generation. Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned – (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Immanuel, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Immanuel.) Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Immanuel our Lord. Romans 5: 12-21 NKJV

Biblical Word

ADAM – Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary. The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing. This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings – external regulations applying until the time of the new order. Hebrews 9: 1, 8-10 NIV

1 Corinthians 15: 44-50 – When buried, it is a physical body; when raised, it will be a spiritual body. There is, of course, a physical body, so there has to be a spiritual body. For the scripture says, “The first man, Adam, was created a living being”; but the last Adam is the life-giving Spirit. It is not the spiritual that comes first, but the physical, and then the spiritual. The first Adam, made of earth, came from the earth; the second Adam came from heaven. Those who belong to the earth are like the one who was made of earth; those who are of heaven are like the one who came from heaven. Just as we wear the likeness of the Man from heaven. What I mean, friends, is that what is made of flesh and blood cannot share in God’s Kingdom, and what is mortal cannot possess immortality. GNT

The Old Way of a Written Law (Believe Something That’s Not True) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe that Adam was created first, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived; it was Eve who was deceived, about which God cannot lie. The Old Way of Written Law, then, is set aside, because it was weak and useless. If there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there would have been no need for a second one. Now, this is the covenant that I will make with the people in the days to come, says the Lord; I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. None of them will have to teach their friends or tell their neighbors, “Know the Lord.” For they will all know me, for the least to the greatest. I will forgive their sins and will no longer remember their wrongs. By speaking of a new covenant, God has made the first one old; and anything that becomes old and worn out will soon disappear.
