INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe expresses the meaning of patience  transcends the idea of bearing  affliction, and includes the idea of standing fast under pressure, with a staying power that turns adversities into opportunities. I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4: 1-6 NKJV

Biblical Word

LONGSUFFERING – Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Immanuel came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Immanuel might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. 1Timothy 1: 15-16 NIV

Reference

Colossians 1: 11-12 – May you be made strong with all the strength which comes from his glorious power, so that you may be able to endure everything with patience. And with joy give thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of light. GNT

Significance

Patience (on how to learn from one’s difficulties) – We at VAL-TE consider ourselves fortunate when all kinds of conflicts, hardships, and troubles come our way. For you know that when your faith that God exists, and rewards those who seek him succeeds in facing such difficulties, the result is the ability to endure. For God will reward each of us according to what we have done. Some people keep on doing good, and seek glory, honor, and immortal life; to them God will give eternal life. Other people are selfish and reject what is right, in order to follow what is wrong. There will be suffering and pain for all those who do what is evil. But God will give glory, honor, and peace to all who do what is good. For God judges everyone by the same standard.
