SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe refers to the capabilities of modern society that enables its people living together in the current time, to act on and interact with one another. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me(that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of death? I thank God – through Immanuel (which means, “God is with us”). Romans 7: 14-25 NKJV
Biblical Word
THE LAW – When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on men’s wisdom, but on God’s power. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. 1 Corinthians 2: 1, 4, 13 NIV
Reference
Romans 3: 19-20 – Now we know that everything in the Law applies to those who live under the Law, in order to stop all human excuses and bring the whole world under God’s Judgment. For no one is put right in God’s sight by doing what the Law requires; what the Law does is to make us know that we have sinned. GNT
Significance
God’s Moral Standards – As a matter of fact, my friends, I could not talk to you as I talk to people who have the ability to explain what is said; I had to talk to you as though you belong to today’s society, as children in the Christian faith. I had to use figures of speech to tell you these things, because you were not ready for it. And even now, some of you are not ready for it, because you still live by human rules and traditions, which have been simply memorized. When there is injustice among you and you mistreat one another, doesn’t this prove that you belong to an unapologetic society, living by its unacceptable standards of morality.
