SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL

THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

This next  scripture, is my way of acknowledging my life today as the Back Seat Driver, allowing God to Drive. Then they brought little children to Him, that He might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those who brought them. But when Jesus saw it, He was greatly displeased and said to them, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” And He took them up in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them. Mark 10: 13-16 NKJV

Biblical Word

CHILDREN – Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. 1 Peter 2: 1-3 NIV

Reference

Hebrews 5: 12-14 – There is much we have to say about this matter, but it is hard to explain to you, because you are so slow to understand. There has been enough time for you to be teachers – yet you still need someone to teach you the first lessons of God’s message. Instead of eating solid food, you still have to drink milk. Anyone who has to drink milk is still a child, without any experience in the matter of right and wrong. Solid food, on the other hand, is for adults, who through practice are able to distinguish between good and evil. GNT

Significance

Innocent – I truly believe that this perspective identifies between those:  who actually don’t know what they’re doing is considered wrong, like a child. In contrast, with those who know what they’re doing is wrong, and refuse to take responsibility for their actions. By living life in this manner, goes against the life God has for all believers, promoting change within each one of us for the Good of All.
