SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING
This very next scripture, actually relates to my first conversation about the meaning of repent with a childhood friend, by the name of Felicia Chester. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3: 19-21 NKJV
REPENT – “Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Repent! Turn from your idols and renounce all your detestable practices! Ezekiel 14: 6 Say to them, ‘As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live. Turn! Turn from your evil ways! Why will you die, O house of Israel?’ Ezekiel 33: 11 NIV
Ezekiel 18: 30-32 – “Now I, the Sovereign LORD, am telling you Israelites that I will judge each of you by what you have done. Turn away from all the evil you are doing, and don’t let your sin destroy you. Give up all the evil you have been doing, and get yourselves new minds and hearts. Why do you Israelites want to die? I do not want anyone to die,” says the Sovereign LORD. “Turn away from your sins and live.” GNT
Change Our Wrong Outlook – As for me, points to a certain place in time where my father thought it were necessary to admonish me, with this perspective: “If you don’t change the way you look at things, you will end up in a lot of trouble.” Today as a Father & Grandfather, would like to offer what I have learned on this subject of a clear conscience, with the belief that you have done nothing bad or wrong. To me, takes a personal responsibility of being accountable for our present & past actions, and focus on always doing the right thing no matter what, trusting that God turns everything in our lives into good.
