SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL

THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION

I can’t truly express how much this next scripture has blessed me, through treating people who God brings to me, with the love He blesses me. “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things  that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.” John 15: 13-17 NKJV

Biblical Word

BEAR FRUIT – A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35 NIV

Reference

1 Corinthians 12: 22-26 – On the contrary, we cannot do without the parts of the body that seem to be weaker; and those parts that we think aren’t worth very much are the ones which we treat with greater care; while the parts of the body which don’t look very nice are treated with special modesty, which the more beautiful parts do not need. God himself has put the body together in such a way as to give greater honor to those parts that need it. And so there is no division in the body, but all its different parts have the same concern for one another. If one part of the body suffers, all the other parts suffer with it; if one part is praised, all the other parts share its happiness. GNT

Significance

Love One Another – There are different ways of serving God, and Loving One Another is one of those spiritual gifts from God. Growing up in the 60’s, I believe were my introduction to truly loving one another, through the term “Lending an Helping Hand.” You see, it did not matter who you were, what race you were or how much money your family made, if you needed it the community would get together and help. In the time of need, I believe God sends it through the blessings of others who received the spiritual gift from Him.
