INTRODUCTION

               In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is the unchanging, open, and silent background of our lives in which all thoughts, feelings, sensations, and perceptions come and go, like clouds passing through the sky. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Immanuel, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry. For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.                THE RACE – Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27 NIV

               Acts 20: 22-24 – And now, in obedience to the Holy Spirit I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit has warned me that prison and troubles wait for me. But I reckon my own life to be worth nothing to me; I only want to complete my mission and finish the work that the Lord Immanuel gave me to do, which is to declare the Good News about the grace of God. Significance

               The Objects (Human Experiences) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe that sometimes it is stormy, and sometimes sunny, but the sky itself is never changed by what happens in it. Most people identify with the objects – the anxious thoughts, the pain, or the story of our lives. Recognizing ourselves as the vast, open sky that remains the same rather than the temporary clouds that form and dissolve, brings a quiet confidence – because we realize that our true self is not disturbed by the temporary, often stressful, contents of our minds. While our thoughts and emotions change constantly, the awareness of them remain the same.
