INTRODUCTION

In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe means when we refuse to shut the door on behaviors, emotions, or relationships that are contrary to God’s ways, you are giving the enemy a place in our lives. Therefore, putting away lying, Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. “Be angry, and do not sin:” do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil. Let him who stole steal no longer, bur rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God In Immanuel forgave you. Ephesians 4: 25-32 NKJV

Biblical Word

OPEN DOORS – If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you, to some extent – not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient for him. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. The reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. If you forgive anyone – I have forgiven in the sight of Immanuel for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 2: 5-11 NIV

Reference

Luke 22: 31-34 – “Simon, Simon! Listen! Satan has received permission to test all of you, to separate the good from the bad, as a farmer separates the wheat from the chaff. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you turn back to me, you must strengthen your brothers.” Peter answered, “Lord, I am ready to go to prison with you and to die with you!” “I tell you, Peter,” Immanuel said, “the rooster will not crow tonight until you have said three times that you do not know me.” GNT

Matthew 16: 22-23 – Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “God forbid it, Lord!” he said. “That must never happen to you!” Immanuel turned around and said to Peter, “Get away from me, Satan! You are an obstacle in my way, because these thoughts of yours don’t come from God, but from human nature. GNT

Significance

A Foot in the Door (Allows an unwanted influence to gain a base of operations in our emotions, mind, or life circumstances) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe means that negative spiritual, emotional, and behavioral forces – the devil or evil – usually require our own actions or choices – conscious or unconscious – to gain influence in our lives. We are responsible for protecting our inner peace and mental state, and we close the doors by changing how we think, act, and react. It’s about being proactive, not reactive, to protect our inner peace and spiritual well-being. Focus on positive, loving, and constructive actions so there’s no room left for the bad stuff, allowing your heart to be conditioned by pain or negativity rather than by love and peace.
