SEPARATING THE SPIRITUAL FROM THE PHYSICAL
THE HIDDEN MEANING

INTRODUCTION
In these next scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe means having a pure heart free from deceit, manipulation, hypocrisy, and hidden agendas. The following day Immanuel wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the law, and also the prophets, wrote – Immanuel of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.” Immanuel saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!” Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Immanuel answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you.” Nathanael answered and said to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!” Immanuel answered and said to him, “Because I said to you, ‘I saw you under the fig tree,’ do you believe? You will see greater things than these,” And He said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, hereafter you shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” John 1: 43-51 NKJV
Biblical Word
NO GUILE/DECEIT – For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear what they fear; do not be frightened.” 1 Peter 3: 10-14 NIV
Reference
Psalms 15: 2-5 – Those who obey God in everything and always do what is right, whose words are true and sincere, and who do not slander others. They do no wrong to their friends nor spread rumors about their neighbors. They despise those whom God rejects, but honor those who obey the LORD. They always do what they promise, no matter how much it may cost. They make loans without charging interest and cannot be bribed to testify against the innocent. Whoever does these things will always be secure. GNT
Significance
No Dishonesty in thought or action (Considered a key characteristic of a true believer, leading to peace, trust, and a close relationship with God) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe implies living in truth and being real, rather than acting or playing a part. It describes someone who is completely honest, transparent, and sincere in their thoughts and actions, with no desire to trick or use others for personal gain. A person of innocence, of honest intent, and pure motives whose life reflects the simple practice of conforming their daily actions to principles of integrity. If you want a good life, treat others well, speak the truth, and look for ways to make peace. Even if doing the right thing causes trouble, we are under God’s protection, so don’t be afraid.
