THE HIDDEN MEANING
INTRODUCTION
In these scriptures, we at VAL-TE’ believe is the deliberate spreading of spiritual falsehoods or misguidance with the intent to deceive and manipulate people. Now the chief priests and all the council sought testimony against Immanuel to put Him to death, but found none. For many bore false witness against Him, but their testimonies did not agree. Then some rose up and bore false witness against Him, saying, “We heard Him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.’” But not even then did their testimony agree. And the high priest stood up in the midst and ask Immanuel, saying, “Do You answer nothing? What is it these men testify against You?” But He kept silent and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked Him, saying to Him, “Are You the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” Immanuel said, “I am. And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, “What further need do we have of witnesses? You have heard the blasphemy! What do you think?” And they all condemned Him to be deserving of death. Mark 14: 55-64 NKJV

FALSE WITNESS – For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach – and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons.” This testimony is true. Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be sound in the faith and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of those who reject the truth. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. Titus 1: 10-16 NIV

Significance
Spiritual Disinformation (A form of spiritual corruption) – We at VAL-TE’ also believe that can lead believers astray, cause division, and damage their faith. Spiritual disinformation is a calculated act to deceive others for personal gain, power, or to sow discord within a spiritual community. It often takes a small piece of truth and twists it, mixes it with lies, or takes it out of context to make the deception more believable. It prays on people’s emotions, such as fear, anger, or anxiety, to get them to spread misleading information without verifying it. This makes the lies more impactful and harder to resist. A command to truthfulness, honesty, and righteous conduct, emphasizing that God hates such behavior and its consequences are severe, both in this life and the next.
